AL GORE INVENTED THE INTERNET ? Snopes v. Dr. G

WHY I DO NOT TRUST SNOPES for anything even slightly political.

Here is an example why: Under their headline "Web of Lies" Snopes says FALSE: "Al Gore never claimed that he “invented” the Internet, nor did he say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way." 

Please Snopes - get fu*king real. Gore did not "...say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way."? Really? That right there is the difference between an opinion and a fact.

Al Gore's exact words: " ...I took the initiative in creating the Internet." Heck yes I could easily interpret that as "I invented the internet." I even checked at http://www.thesaurus.com/br... and guess what? Yippers. CREATE and INVENT are SYNONYMOUS. See Thesaurus and decide for yourself. 

The world is not always about True or False.  Things are not always black and white.  There are many shades of gray. In this case the words Created and Invented could live somewhere in the gray zone. 

Bye for now. I am going to take the initiative and create something called "breakfast". Wait a minute. Could someone now say "Dr. G claimed he invented breakfast, or something that could be interpreted that way"? 

Snopes is OK if you want to know "Did the killer whale really jump on a kayak?" , but for political matters I go somewhere else.  Snopes even makes lame arguments defending George Soros.
